The Earth Quakes
"I think, it's an earthquake!"
I only set my feet on level six when I want to read (along with the cozy background music) in the library. The view and atmosphere is quite refreshing to me because most of my teaching sessions are held in levels four and five. Today, I didn’t set my feet to read but to attend the mathematics meeting in one of the rooms beside the library.
The meeting was opened with the usual pleasantries and whereabouts, whatabouts (paging Oxford Dictionary), agenda, sometimes also the whatnots are included to break the ice. In the middle of one of the whatnots I just realized the floor is shaking. I couldn’t find any words or phrase to inform them so I decided and uttered this exact line, "I think, it's an earthquake!"
It was an ordinary but tough day. I had almost five sessions with my homeroom today. The material is Reproductive System. I am very sure they were bored with my face. Boys are so mindful of the topic. They keep on asking questions - sensible questions at least; even during the time they helped and accompanied me to get the bags of their female classmates at level four before going home time. As the adage line reads, "Boys will always be boys."
"I think it's an earthquake!"
The drill paid off.
We’re safe and sound.
We’re alive.
We’re awake.
We’re alert and enthusiastic.
Thank God! During this kind of situation He is and will always be in control.
